Who Can Join?
Membership of Ringmer u3a
Anyone who is retired, semi-retired or not in full time employment.
All you need is interest, enthusiasm and willingness to join in.
No qualifications are required, no examinations are held and no certificates are awarded.
Our activities depend on our members volunteering to organise and participate in our meetings, activities and events.
If you are interested in a particular interest group, we recommend that you contact the Convenor to check if there are spaces available in that group. Alternatively contact our Membership Secretary.
You must be a current member to participate in any u3a activities, to receive Newsletters, and to be covered by u3a Public Liability Insurance.
Our membership year runs from 1st September through to the end of the following August.
If you are already a member of another u3a then you can join our group as an Associate member upon presentation of your current membership card.
This includes access to all our interest groups, and a subscription to the u3a magazine called ‘Third Age Matters’.
Cost
Ringmer u3a Annual membership costs £10.
This annual fee covers Third Age Trust membership and use of the Beacon management system for each member. The fee also includes 5 editions of the National u3a magazine. The remainder of the fee covers local costs such as printing, postage and room hire for general meetings etc. It does not subsidise group activities which may include a small group fee per session e.g. refreshments, materials, venue hire costs etc..
