u3a is a UK-wide organisation, the Third Age Trust (TAT) with around a 1000+ charities and groups across the UK which provides opportunities for retired and semi-retired people to come together and learn in a friendly and informal manner. This includes any activity conducive to learning and personal development.

The Third Age Trust offers Online Learning Events, this is free to u3a members, including talks, workshops and courses.

The Learn and Share activities cover a wide range of interests for all u3a members to get involved, from challenges, projects, and competitions.

They also run 'Interest Groups Online' (IGO), a digital branch of the u3a.

Ringmer u3a

Active in Ringmer for over 30 years and steadily growing, our u3a Group continues to offer like-minded retired and semi-retired residents in the village and surrounding area, opportunities to share their knowledge, skills and experience. Our u3a is run entirely by member volunteers for the membership.

Though self supporting and autonomous, our local group benefits from membership of The Third Age Trust, the parent national organisation.

If you would like to know more about the history of Ringmer u3a we have a short history of our first 25 years available to read by clicking on A Silver Thread link.
