Ringmer u3a members welcomed Lauren Puttock‑Brown from solicitors Mayo Wynne Baxter, for an excellent talk on the importance of Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). Lauren explained the two key types — Health and Welfare and Property and Financial Affairs — and showed how they help ensure that trusted people can make decisions if someone becomes unable to do so themselves.
Her clear, down‑to‑earth approach helped demystify a topic many find confusing. Members particularly valued her practical examples and guidance and explanations of how LPAs are registered.
A lively Q&A rounded off the session. Ringmer u3a extends warm thanks to Lauren for an informative and reassuring presentation.
