Convenor: Peter Smith, who can be contacted by clicking the Convenor link above.
Ideally we make observations of the sky and then learn about the objects we have seen. In fact observations are frequently impossible because of weather conditions so our studies are carried out by members presentations.
We meet at our local church and make observations when there is not too much light because it interferes with our ability to see the stars. If anyone is interested in joining us then do contact me.

We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7-30pm** in the Church Hall.
Sometimes there are events of interest and we will meet to make observations or to visit a site of interest which means additional meetings.
**We do not meet in June, July or August because the nights are too light.
There are no location costs although we might visit e.g. a planetarium which would involve a cost.
