Ringmer

Groups

Below are the Ringmer u3a current interest groups available to members.
Please note that you need to be a member of Ringmer u3a to be able to join any of our interest groups or activities.

Each interest group is led by a volunteer Group Convenor who is the point of contact for the group and responsible for co-ordinating the content, duration, and administration of the group’s meetings. Groups can be run by several people working as a team together. All group members are encouraged to actively participate at group meetings.

Meetings and Venues

Our groups generally meet during the daytime, there are some exceptions such as the astronomy group. The group list below shows when each group meets and the time of day for meetings.

Group meetings are generally held within Ringmer and the local area, venues are dependent on group sizes so locations vary from members’ homes to local hired venues.

Joining a Group

Your annual Ringmer u3a subscription gives you access to all our groups. Some group activities may be free, others share costs such as room hire or refreshments, and some activities such as a visit to a local exhibition or museum are normally at cost.

If you are interested in a particular group please contact the group convenor for details on availability of spaces, meeting dates, venues, and any costs by using the online email form located on each group page.

Some groups may offer you to attend a meeting as a guest for a "taster" visit to help you decide whether you would like to join the group.

To join any group you will need to be a member of Ringmer u3a or join as an affiliate member if you are already a member of another u3a group, for example Lewes u3a.
